Only with full ripen beeries and a long vinification the Merlot shows a perfect fruityness and a soft extract, with round harmonic tannins.
Tasting: deep ruby red, very aromatic and beery notes, cherry, wild strawberry and cassis, mocca and cacao, fullbodied structure. Present drinkability but also serious ageing potential.
Best served with: braised veal cheeks, fried duck, saddle of venison medallions with cinnamon cherries, almond soufflé with cinnamon prunes.
