Sparkeling wine

20,00

Variety: Furmint

The grape variety is ideal for traditional bottle fermentation, and that becomes clear with the first sip: 18 months of aging on the yeast with zero dosage, this Furmint is clear, fresh and precise. Ripe apples, quince and intensif walnut are reflected in the fine perlage paired with a fine note of yeast on the palate.

Tasting: Nice and mild summer sparkling wine, fine mousseux, brilliant yellow, fresh, fruity, juicy, nutty aromas. Perfect as an aperitif.

    Starlings over the vineyard

In September, during the early harvest period, thousands of starlings are circling Rust und Lake Neusiedl in big swarms.

    Waiting for the swarm

The winegrowers are not really happy about the birds, because their harvest is at stake.

    Furmint protected by a net

Without protective nets, the grapes located near the lake would be eaten very quickly.

    Grape behind bars

The traditional Furmint and Traminer vineyards have to be protected starting in August.

    Hands up or I´ll shoot

Sometimes the nets are not enough. Therefore, the starlings are chased away by bangers.
